W80 is a partition wall whose single technological profile, with a total thickness of only 80 mm, is able to accommodate a wide variety of materials while maintaining seamless aesthetic continuity: glass, wood, metal, fabric, shelf and wall unit fittings, integrated wiring and monitors, all along the same elevation. Cutting profiles directly on site makes installation effective even in projects of great complexity and scale. Snap-fit assembly dramatically reduces set-up time, allowing the layout to be defined and panel closure to be postponed to a second phase, while also ensuring reconfigurability for future additions.
The technological core of the project, protected by five industrial patents, creates an immaterial structure with glass and panels that appear suspended, where different materials alternate in perfect aesthetic continuity. Performance and aesthetic results depend largely on the design of the interior elements: many small works of engineering that “cannot be seen” but are decisive for the overall performance.
W80 achieves certified sound reduction values of up to Rw 48 dB for double-glazed walls and Rw 56 dB for solid walls. The doors also stand out for their acoustic performance, having been laboratory tested to ensure excellent results.
Technological systems can be housed within the wall cavity, including lighting fixtures, sliding or Venetian blinds, LCD ON/OFF films, various accessories and even monitors ranging from 10” room reservation systems to large 65” video-conferencing screens. Cableways and technical elements such as thermostats and electrical controls therefore remain completely concealed.
